Job description/ responsibilities

We are looking for a Network Support Engineer to be part of our Networks, Cast, TV Headend Product Team.

This position is based in the city of Maia in Portugal.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales people with set-up of demos or PoCs;
  • Support on-board of new clients to our Cloud CAST, Network Management and TV Headend platforms;
  • Support queries on product-specific issues on installation & ongoing;
  • Bug catching & testing new features for the developers;
  • Update training materials & documentation for colleagues; 
  • Collect and bring issues to Product Manager; 
  • Daily communication and relationship with customers to engage and guide them; 
  • Answering calls and replying to email in relation to the product support. 

Must Have

  • Degree in Informatics, Electronics, or equivalent working experience;
  • Cisco and/or other Networks vendors certifications;  
  • Knowledge of TV technologies;
  • Expertise in multi-service network architectures to support IPTV, Critical applications, VOICE, Guest Wi-Fi, CCTV, etc.; 
  • Ability to install and configure networking, IPTV, Voice over IP, and WiFi equipment;
  • Familiarity with network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, and QoS; 
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve network related issues;  
  • Experience with network security and firewall configurations;
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written);
  • Empathy towards helping customers and ability to manage the customer expectations; 
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and highly organized.

Nice to have

  • Fluent in French (spoken and written);
  • Knowledge of IPTV protocols and technologies;
  • Experience with customer service;
  • Linux command line;
  • Scripting Languages; 
  • Previous experience in similar positions; 
  • Other languages.
