Job description/specification 
We are looking for a professional to take on the role of Finance and Administration Director. You will be part of an international Team where you will work together with the CFO. 

This position is based in the city of Maia in Portugal.   

Responsibilities

  • Department Leadership:
    • Leading the Department Team;
    • Customer Communication and Satisfaction;
    • Define Department direction and objectives according to the Exec Team directives;
    • Responsible to achieve the Department Objectives;
    • Responsible for defining and implementing the Department process and procedures;
    • Responsible for the Department deliverables (quality and on-time) to the Units and Exec Team;
    • Responsible for the Area managers coordination;
    • People management - appraisal, hiring, training, under HR supervision
    • Department reporting / monthly Directors meeting;
    • Impairment management of financial holdings;
    • Management of the external financial audit process;
    • Approval of monthly financial reports, to be submitted to the executive team;
    • Approval of annual report and accounts for each subsidiary and for the group, to be submitted to the executive team;
    • Group fiscal compliance;
  • Financial ERPs/Tools Management:
    • Contribute to improve and automate the ERPs/Finance tools and propose modules for a region to comply with local Legal requirements;
    • Management of Local ERPs:
      • Accesses and levels of authorisation for the needed profiles, including accesses for 3rd-party Local Chartered Accountants firms;
      • Subscription management.

Must Have

  • Bachelor in Finance, Management, Economics, Accounting or an equivalent area;
  • Minimum experience of 1 year in a director position;
  • Previous experience in team management;
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders:
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

  • Experience in hospitality;
  • Knowledge in ICT or related areas;
  • Knowledge of other languages will be an advantage.
