Job description/specification  

We are looking for a Project Engineer to be part of our team that is responsible for network systems implementation, maintaining existing systems and highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.  
Nonius Benelux specializes in delivering technology solutions that enhance guest experiences and drive operational efficiency in the hospitality industry across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. 
You will be part of an international Team where you will work together with the Subsidiary Director.

The position will be based on our Almere Office.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for project delivery;
  • Responsibility over Customer communication / satisfaction related with project delivery;
  • Within the scope of execution of Projects tasks:
    • Configuration of Telecommunications and Multimedia equipment (Routers, Switches, Access points, TVs, STBs, camera);
    • Planning and execution of surveys to structured networks and WiFi and if needed coordinating Field Technicians; 
    • Preparation of technical task report / maintenance worksheets; 
    • Field Technician task coordination capacity (own and contracted); 
  • Support planned field interventions and follow up of the issues; 
  • Internal IT operations coordinated by the IT Nonius department; 
  • Coordination with other Company Product Units for Content, Cloud components for a project.

Must Have

  • Technical or higher degree in Telecom and/or Networking
  • Ability to work in WAN/LAN environment
  • Working with routers, servers and TCP/IP environment
  • CCNA or other switching/routing courses or work experience that can be considered equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and be available to travel within the country and abroad 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently 
  • Must have excellent communication skills and outstanding customer awareness skills 
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have

  • Hospitality experience, preferably Hotel IT or vendor 
  • Linux admin experience and shell scripting 
  • Experience with Hotels, TV systems, Coax and IP networks, Wi-Fi, IT, ISP
  • Awareness of hotel chain brand standards
  • Experience with leading IT equipment  
  • Additional languages
