Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Q&A Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in ensuring that our software products meet high standards of quality and performance. You'll work closely with our development teams, help identify issues, create and execute test cases, and contribute to continuous improvement of our testing processes.
This is a full-time, on-site position at our Maia, Portugal office.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that software adheres to both design and functional specifications, while also actively investigating and reproducing reported defects to drive continual improvement;
- Test and debug software to identify and report bugs and issues;
- Assist senior QA team members in designing and implementing test plans and strategies to ensure the highest quality software in our products;
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools;
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans and test cases;
- Perform all tasks within quality standards, the environment and health and safety , within the rules defined in specific procedures applicable to this function.
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is a plus.
- Scripting/Programming knowledge.
- Attention to Detail – ability to spot inconsistencies, bugs, and anomalies in software behavior.
- Understanding of Testing Principles – familiarity with manual testing techniques, bug life cycle, and quality standards.
- Collaboration Skills – comfortable working closely with developers and QA teammates.
- Clear Documentation Abilities – can write test cases, log bugs clearly, and maintain test documentation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English.
