Job Description
We are seeking a professional to join our team as a Field Network Technician. At Nonius Nordics we specialize in delivering technology solutions that enhance guest experiences and drive operational efficiency in the hospitality industry across the Nordics region.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with an international team, working closely with the Subsidiary Director, and play a key part in delivering seamless, high-performance network installations.
This position is based at our Stockholm office.
Responsibilities
- Within the scope of execution of tasks of Projects / Field Customer Support:
- Installation / Replacement of Telecommunications, Electrical and Multimedia equipment (Routers, Switches, Access points, UPS, TVs, STBs, cameras);
- Perform task / worksheets of surveys to structured networks and wifi; Perform task / worksheets for installation / correction of customer network racks;
- Perform task / worksheets for installation / correction and alignment of satellite antennas;
- Perform task / worksheets of installation / electrical correction in Racks (UPS, cables, etc.).
- Projects:
- Responsibility for deliver small complexity projects with high customer satisfaction;
- Execute project tasks for the deployment of Nonius solutions;
- Lease with other Engineers and or Technicians.
- Customer Support / Field Support:
- Attend sites to resolve issues related with Nonius Solutions at our customers;
- Install, upgrade and maintain equipment under SLA;
- Provide a high level of customer care within the terms of the SLAs;
- Timely completion of all paperwork related to the site visits;
- Liaise with senior engineers, management, contractors and customers;
- Provide remote technical support to existing customer sites;
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and to agreed processes.
- Sales Engineering Support:
- Do site visits/surveys to address customer requirements to quote Nonius solutions;
- Lease with Sales Team and Managing Director when needed to address specific customer requirements / sales opportunities;
- Assist the Subsidiary sales team solutions presentations to customers.
Must Have
- We are looking for a smart and good spirit person;
- High school diploma or equivalent, along with a 2 year technical degree or equivalent work experience in Telecom and/or Networking;
- Ability to work in WAN/LAN environment;
- Working with routers, servers and TCP/IP environment;
- CCNA or other switching/routing courses or work experience that can be considered equivalent;
- Valid driver’s license and be available to travel within the country and abroad;
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently;
- Must have excellent communication skills and outstanding customer awareness skills;
- Fluent in Swedish;
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Hotels, TV systems, Coax and IP networks, Wi-Fi, IT, ISP;
- Hospitality experience, preferably Hotel IT or vendor;
- Linux admin experience and shell scripting;
- Awareness of hotel chain brand standards.
